MESSAGE
One year ago today, Urios College was raised to the status of University. It is appropriate that we thank the Lord for the many blessings and gifts He has given us. Among the blessings are a more than fifty percent passing rate in the Civil Engineering board examinations and the College of Law being recognized by former Chief Justice Panganiban as one of the newer law schools who have “made significant inroads in beating the national passing percentages...” (Philippine Daily Inquirer, April 29, 2007).
However, as we very well know, with these gifts and blessings come a task and responsibility. As the first and only Caraga based University we have the responsibility of fulfilling our duties not only in terms of the excellence of the programs we offer but in the areas of research and community service as well. We have to strive to make who and what we are as a University better; ever better...
A lot is expected of us at FSUU and rightly so. The task may seem daunting but I am confident that as members of one community, we will each generously do our share in making what we declare in our vision and mission a reality. |
