It is a continuing thrust of every dedicated personnel of the university to delight internal and external clients with Urian services. These personnel are provided with opportunities and needed support to continuously live up to the said thrust. It is then noteworthy to mention that the efforts of our personnel enabled Urios College to gain; Accredidation, Caraga Region Employer of the Year Award, and University Status.

As FSUU continues to afford its quality education to as many households as possible and offer education related services to individuals and institutions, it also inviting men and women from different disciplines or fields of specialization to join in this journey.

Overview

The Director of Human Resource Management and Development is responsible for implementing the Human Resource Strategy in view of the strategic direction of the school. S/he exercises leadership in the implementation of the recruitment and succession plan, personnel development program, supervision program, and the ranking system and compensation and benefits plan, performance management and other HR programs of the school. S/he proposes HR strategies and initiatives to the President.

 
Objectives
As a strategic unit, the HRMD office outlines its goals coherent to the strategic direction of the university. The goals are:

  • A quality work & faith life and a balance between school and family life for all the personnel.
  • A consistent delivery of excellent URIAN services to students and clients as rendered by the personnel.
  • A strong and dynamic URIAN leadership of the administrators, and the rank and file personnel are prepared to assume Leadership Positions.
  • The university shall exceed the requirements on human resources of the Accreditting bodies, IQUAME, Center of Development and Center of Excellence.
  • A university with established linkages with partner institutions and individuals on Human Resource programs and initiatives.
  • A consistent industry leader in the region, and at par with other educational institutions in the country, and performing global standards in terms of HR practices and innovations.
  • A consistently relevant and responsive HRMD office of the university and strategic unit of the organization

PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (PDP)

Rationale:


The human resources are the most important resource of FSUU. They are responsible in carrying-out the vision, mission and goals of the university and a critical source of knowledge and competitive advantage

Today’s fast changing world requires the human resources of the university to be prepared of, keep pace with, and ahead of, the changes. Hence, they continuously learn and improve in order to meet the requirements and the challenges of the job, and are consistently efficient and effective in their work. It also necessitates they are satisfied of their job and happy of the quality of work & faith life in the university.

Personnel development is a necessary component of FSUU's program to ensure growth of its personnel-with focus on the wholeness of every person.


Goals of the PDP:

The Personnel Development Program has the following goals:

  1. Ensure that personnel shall efficiently and effectively apply the skills and abilities,

  2. Ensure that personnel are dynamic, well-trained and well-motivated,

  3. Increase employees’ job satisfaction and self-actualization,

  4. Achieve Quality of Work & Faith Life in the university
