Greetings from FSUU!
It was ten years ago when our alma mater embarked on a journey towards
the realization of a dream. Guided by its vision and mission, Urios
College built on strength upon strength, talent upon talent, treasure
upon treasure, and faith upon faith - pillars and foundations
of the new frontier. Year by year, moment by moment, Urios did not
lose the purposes and ideals for which the destination of this great
odyssey was set.
And unsurprisingly enough, the dream and the dreamer
become one. Urios College is now Father Saturnino Urios University!
FSUU has reached the crossroad of achievement where she shakes off
the final trappings as a college and fulfill the challenge of enhancing
herself and moving forward like a real university should. Now, the
real journey begins and as set by the standards of higher learning,
FSUU has charted her way to this new and exciting arena of educational
service and person formation. Truly, “Celebrating Dreams,
Scaling New Heights,” can be no less fitting and right to
capture the moment
in words.
After more than one hundred years of providing quality
education, Christian formation and selfless service to the
community, a new era unfolds in the pursuit of academic
excellence and social transformation.
With a lot of what Urios has become, we invite you to come back
to your alma mater, get to know it again with all the beautiful
changes that have taken place and yet discover for yourself how
much of Urios has remained the same - the Urian values of unity, religiosity,
integrity, altruism, and nationalism - the very same qualities that
you personify...just because you are an Urian. Experience once again
the warmth and camaraderie of the Urios community - the students,
the
faculty, the administration and your own alumni family.
Along with this achievement, Fr. Saturnino Urios
University faces even greater challenges in providing educational
services and human development opportunities to her people.
We believe the Urian Spirit still lives and guides every endeavor
you are undertaking, in much the same way we instill in our
students the ideals and values of a true Urian. May you find real
meaning, joy, and satisfaction into whatever you can do to make
Urios even more relevant and responsive to the needs of its
constituents and the community as well.
