Many great things were accomplished to make the Butuan Parochial School or the Urios College of the past become the Father Saturnino Urios University of today. From its humble beginnings, FSUU experienced exceptional growth, but none were finer than the realization of new facilities of learning, new heights in educational performance, significant milestones in research, and more committed community service nurtured in the Urian Spirituality.

For more than a hundred years, the Urian brand of education had been seasoned by time and experience, where administrators, faculty members and staff gave the best years of their life in sharing their expertise to students, the adopted communities and the society at large. FSUU means teaching in an atmosphere of excellence, innovation and inspiration – where ONE seed of knowledge carefully planted and nurtured in the spirit of love and service for others, gave MANY fruits of growth. Where ONE long awaited discovery brings research to life and gave MANY reasons for hope. Where, as ONE FSUU community working together is able to bring about the achievement of MANY goals. Where, with ONE vision, FSUU shall have MANY roads to travel - an engaged University sharing with the world.
